Sockeye Secret
Tuesday, 03 November 2009 07:54

Salmon stocks, particularly Sockeye salmon stocks, are crashing and scientific research and study is required to understand why and to take effective steps forward to manage and rehabilitate stocks. One river in BC, the Harrison has seen record returns of Sockeye and this is a bit of a mystery. The reason is unclear, but more needs to be done to understand the reason and to protect and rebuild our salmon stocks. News story from Global TV BC.
